Jackson Police respond to shots fired inside convenience store

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Police Department is responding to shots fired inside a convenience store early Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened at the intersection of West Northside Drive and Bailey Avenue.

Commander Tyree Jones with the Jackson Police Department says a clerk got into an argument with an unidentified man, who left the store, and came back with two handguns, later firing several shots.

The unidentified man fled the scene on foot.

Commander Jones also says no one was injured and this was not a robbery.
