TERRY, Miss. (WJTV) – Members of Wynndale Baptist Church in Terry spent their Sunday night packing 144 boxes.
Those shoe boxes will be delivered across the world through Operation Christmas Child.
The packages are filled with everything from shoes, school supplies and even basic necessities like toothbrushes.
“I heard a story of a little girl that received a toothbrush for the first time at the age of seven. If you can imagine never having a toothbrush til you were seven years old and she was so excited. So it’s just the little things that we take for granted that these children don’t have,” says Norma Kinsley, Wynndale Church Secretary.
Children across the globe living in war-torn or impoverished countries will receive the shoe boxes just in time for Christmas.
