JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Residents now have a chance to have their voice heard about Mississippi’s school formula.
The Mississippi Legislature recently hired EdBuild to help change the current formula, the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP), for public schools.
MAEP is made up of $2,200,000,000 of Mississippi’s budget.
EdBuild found, in its initial findings, that the current MAEP formula is aimed toward “resources and not students.”
People can send their input about MAEP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
