UPDATE: The boil water advisory for Murrah High has been lifted.
School officials said the city has completed repairs and the water had been turned back on at the school.
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Water was turned off at Murrah High School Wednesday morning.
WJTV received several calls about the issue Wednesday, so we reached out to Jackson Public School officials get answers about what happened.
Sherwin Johnson of JPS said, city crews were repairing a main water line in the area, and the water was turned off as they made repairs.
A boil water notice was issued for the school.

The City of Jackson is repairing a water main line. Water was turned off this morning as they made repairs. A water tank was dispersed to the school for restroom breaks. The cafeteria staff is making the appropriate adjustments in their food preparations.
