ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A 25-year-old man is in custody for allegedly shooting and killing two people and leaving another person injured.
Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail said Marcus Malone was arrested the night of the shooting. He is charged with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault.
Sheriff Nail said Malone is accused of killing the mother of his children, and her boyfriend. 24-year-old Zackary Flanagan and 26-year-old LaBrandice Deshon Harvey died from their injuries.
The third person who was shot lived at the home where the shooting occurred, Sheriff Nail said.
His bond is set at $1,100,000.
Authorities are investigating a shooting near the McAdams community that killed two people.
Breezy News reports that one person is in custody for the shooting.
Officials say a 911 hang up call came in earlier in the evening, and screaming was coming from the background.
Deputies responded to a home on Attala Road 4126 after several other calls reported multiple victims.
The shooter tried to run away – but authorities now have that person in custody. They are not releasing that person’s name at this time.
Attala County Coroner Sam Bell says the victims are 24-year-old Zackary Flanagan and 26-year-old LaBrandice Deshon Harvey. Both are from Kosciusko. Officials pronounced them dead on scene.
A third woman went to UMC for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
