Missing Jackson State Student Found

UPDATE: JSU Officials tell us Dominique James has been found. We’re working to get more details on this developing story.


Jackson, MS (WJTV) – Officials at Jackson State University are looking for a missing student.

We’re told freshman Dominique Shamone James, 19, was reported missing on Tuesday. Officials with the university tell us her roommate reported her missing.

Surveillance video taken from the McAlister Whiteside Residence Hall lobby shows James last at 1:12 a.m., Sunday, November 13.

We’re told James is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 275 pounds. She’s got dark brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen in a blue, windbreaker-style jacket with dark-colored jeans.

JSU’s Department of Public Safety is working with the Jackson Police Department to find James. We’re told, school officials have also been in contact with James’ family.
