Deadline today to ensure affidavit ballots are counted

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – If you voted in the Nov. 8 presidential election in Mississippi without valid identification, state officials say Wednesday is the deadline to ensure the voter ID affidavit ballot is counted.

Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says to ensure the ballot is marked “accepted” voters must visit their Circuit Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. to show an acceptable photo identification or obtain a free Mississippi Voter ID card.
