LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Multiple agencies are investigating after three men allegedly plot to murder a prominent Marion County businessman.
Howard Cameron, 47, Glenn Evans, 46, and Victor Mitchell, 42, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder according to Mississippi Bureau of Investigations spokesperson Warren Strain.
The three men were arrested Saturday morning around 1:00 at the T&D Mini Mart on the corner of the Evelyn Gandy Parkway and Monroe Road in Forrest County. Lamar and Marion County Sheriff’s Departments, Hattiesburg Police and MBI are investigating.
The name of the man targeted is being withheld pending the investigation, according to officials.
No one, including the victim, was harmed in the incident according to Strain.
Cameron, Evans and Mitchell are currently in the Lamar County Jail awaiting their initial appearance.
