JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) Just in time for Thanksgiving, a food company is issuing an allergy alert and voluntary recall for cases of gravy that have been mislabelled.
About 500 cases of Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy and Heinz Pork Gravy are being recalled by the company because some of the jars were not marked correctly. Some products were not labelled as containing milk and soy. Because the product contains milk or soy this could pose a risk to those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or soy products. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says those at risk may have serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product.
