JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The contract between EdBuild and the state has been released to the public.
Monday, Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood said he sent a letter to legislators and told them that the contract should be placed on the Mississippi Transparency website.
House Speaker Pro Tempore and Senate President Pro Tempore released a statement Monday saying the contract had been released to the Department of Finance and Administration and would be posted on the Transparency Mississippi website.”
Tuesday, WJTV was able to find the contract online. Before the contract was released, WJTV asked for a copy of it by submitting a Freedom of Information Act request, but was denied.
EdBuild was hired by the state to reevaluate Mississippi’s education funding formula.
