HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — Deputies in Hinds County are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area.
Officials tell WJTV that a hunter stumbled on the man’s body Tuesday morning. Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart identified the man as Larry Evans of Bolton.
Investigators said the 63-year-old man has a history of Schizophrenia. It’s unclear at this time how long the man has been in the woods.
The coroner and several deputies came to the scene to remove the body.
Investigators believe he got stuck in a muddy area and may have tried to grab a branch while trying to get out.
Deputies do not suspect foul play at this time.
