JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Residents in a South Jackson neighborhood are upset after a stretch of their street is flooded from a water main break.
The break is on Catalina Circle.
Terri Byrd said she’s lived in the area for more than 20 years.
She said there had been at least three water main breaks on her street in the past two weeks. Crews initially came out to fix them, but Byrd said the second break started leaking again immediately after they finished repairing the third one.
She said she’d called the city more than once.
“not just one time,” she said. “I’ve been calling them every since this leak started and it has not been fixed. It’s very frustrating.”
Byrd says she is worried about her water bill increasing due to a large amount of water running down the street. We reached out to the city officials about the issue. A spokesperson told WJTV that crews are addressing the break.
