Breaking: Suspect in Greenbriar Apartments shooting turns himself in and the victim is identified

The victim is in very critical condition

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police say the man accused of a shooting at Greenbriar Apartments is now in custody.

22-year-old, Curtis Hampton, turned himself in to JPD for shooting at Greebriar Apts.

The victim in that shooting is 31-year-old Thomas Watts. Jackson police say Watts is in “very critical condition”.


JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Jackson Police have identified the man they are looking for in connection with an apartment complex shooting.

Police said they are searching for 22-year-old Curtis Hampton. He is wanted for aggravated assault.

Authorities went to the Greenbriar Apartments Monday night to respond to a shooting. A 31-year-old man was shot in the head.

He is still in very critical condition. Anyone with information about Hampton’s whereabouts, contact police.
