CEO of Durham School Services speaks about deadly Chattanooga school bus crash

 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WJTV) — The CEO of Durham School Services is speaking out about the deadly Chattanooga school bus crash.

David A. Duke released a video on YouTube that was published Wednesday. The crash involved one of Durham’s buses, who was driven by 24-year-old Johnthony Walker.

He started off his statement by saying he has struggled to wrap his mind around about what happened.

He apologized to the families of who lost their children in the accident and to those who were injured, even though he said he knows that no words can take away that pain.

Duke said in the video that it’s his mission and responsibility to find out what happened so that it never happens again.

Durham is the same company that provides buses for the Hinds County School District. They started providing transportation for Hinds County students in 2010, according to the district’s website.
