JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The holiday season is all about giving.

Many organizations in the Metro spent their Thanksgiving holiday giving to those less fortunate.

Stewpot volunteers served lunch Thursday. A team of chefs came in hours in advance to prepare the meals. The meals were served buffet-style.

They also wanted to make sure their guests stay warm tonight. Some of the guests were given free clothes.

The Salvation Army also prepared meals for the community. People came into their Beasley Road location and had lunch. They also made hundreds boxed lunches and took them out in the community.
