VICKSBURG, Miss. – It’s not quite time for Santa to hop inside his one horse open sleigh, but tonight his Holiday Express train made a stop in the River City.
“I think that it is a tradition for a lot of families every time we come through they make sure that they come,” Kansas City Southern Representative, Grant Elliott said.
For the 16th year the Kansas City Southern’s Holiday Express train hit the railroad spreading holiday cheer for a good cause.
“This is a public relations goodwill project for Kansas City Southern in which we can give back to all the communities through which we operate and the Salvation Army is the charitable component to this project,” Elliott explained.
This year the Holiday Express will make 22 stops in seven states, dropping off donations to Salvation Army centers at each stop and giving people the chance to climb aboard and see decorations and Santa!
