JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The principal of Callaway High School has died.
Jackson Public Schools tweeted that William Trammell, III had passed away.
They also posted a picture of him on the district’s Facebook page.
Details about how he died have not been released.
Sherwin Johnson, executive director of media relations for JPS, said counselors and district support staff are assisting grieving students, teachers, and staff at the school.
Johnson said Trammell was loved by his students, staff and alumni and his kind spirit will dwell in the halls and classrooms of Callaway
He said JPS will continue his legacy and mission. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
