JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the City of Jackson have rescheduled this year’s Christmas parade.
The parade was scheduled for Saturday, December 3, but because of expected inclement weather, officials decided to move it to Dec. 10 at noon.
We’re told the theme for this year’s parade is Christmas in the Capital. It’s co-sponsored by the Salvation Army. Several local marching bands, organizations and city departments are expected to participate.
The city’s tree lighting ceremony is still scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 at City Hall.
