BRANDON, Miss. (WJTV) – An ambulance responded to an incident at the Brandon Christmas parade Friday night.

We’re told a civilian motorcyclist in the parade bumped into a 17-year-old girl.

The incident happened at the intersection of Highway 80 and College St.

Brandon’s Police Chief tells us he spoke with the girl after the incident and that she’s been taken to a hospital to be checked out. We’re told her injuries are minor.

We’re told a little boy also complained about his arm hurting after the incident, but he’s expected to be okay as well.

Witnesses tell us police blocked the street and stopped the parade after the incident. The parade resumed a short time later.

If we receive more information about this incident, we will update this story.
