JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Southwest flight traveling from Atlanta to Houston made an emergency landing in Jackson Tuesday evening.
It happened around 8:00 p.m. according to a passenger.
118 passengers were on board the Boeing 737, along with 5 crew members.
The airline released a statement saying the pilot diverted Flight #214 because of a potential pressurization issue.
One passenger said the quick drop caused several people on the plane to have bloody noses and ringing ears.
Southwest Airlines tells us the plane landed safely and it is out of service for inspection.
At this time – the company is sending another plane to Jackson. It should arrive at 11:30 p.m. to take the passengers to Houston.
