ATTALA COUNTY, MS (WJTV) – An Attala County family is reeling after a house fire kills three boys.

“They were just good kids, loving kids, they loved life,” said Weis Rosamond, who is the great-uncle of the boys.

Late Friday night Rosamond said he saw flames coming from his nephew’s house up the road. He then called for help, but he says when firefighters got to the home it was an inferno.

After the flames were out they found the boys ages 5 to 12-years-old.

Rosamond said the boy’s parents were out with another sibling at the time

The family asked WJTV not to name the children or show their faces.

“I see it all the time on TV but never thought that it would happen to my family,” said Rosamond “I’d take their place any day of the week.”

The fire is still under investigation. We will update you on ways to donate when we get more information.
