JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — As people in Florida are bracing for the potential devastation of Hurricane Irma, some Mississippi emergency responders are headed to cushion the blow.
WJTV caught up with some of the with Pafford emergency responders before they went to Tallahassee
They teamed up with colleagues from Ruston, Louisiana. They said that they’re hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
“We’re cautiously optimistic that this storm is not going to be as bad, but we know it’s going to be bad, so help’s coming,” said Chris Marble of Pafford. “There will be ambulance agencies from all over the country responding to Texas and to Florida, and we’re just very proud to be asked to be a part of that response.”
